This permanent magnet pot assembly is made by sticking a permanent magnet (using new materials and standard grade) into a steel cup that with the external thread or male thread. Steel nut and screw cap can be fixed on the external thread. We usually glue neodymium disc magnets into the steel cups. The steel cups can not only protect the disc NdFeB magnet but also ensure the NdFeB disc magnets strongest magnetic force and holding ability. The steel cup of the pot magnets with eyelet can be made by lathing or punching. We have both two kinds of pot magnets with closed hook for sale.
Fishing magnet is also called as searching magnet, salvage magnets, which used to search for the lost metal objects underwater. These fishing magnets are made of neodymium magnet embedded a steel shell; it concentrates the magnetic field on the bottom which increase the magnetic force by 2-4 times compared to the naked magnet. And the steel cup will prevent the naked magnet from cracking and chippings. Each fishing magnet is equipped with a stainless-steel eye bolt (SS 304). Designed for heavy duty and underwater use, it can recover lost equipment, tools, ancient ferrous object and others in deep water, wells, holes, also great for lifting, hanging applications. Magnets only attract iron, ferrous metals, and nickel, and do not attract gold, silver, copper, alloys and stainless steel.
These pot magnets have a threaded bushing on the opposite side of the magnet. In the existing internal thread, you can screw in screws or other parts with an external thread. These magnetic plates form the basis of our hook magnets / eyelet magnets, which you can of course also get from us.
The internal threaded stud pot magnet is also known as a female threaded stud pot magnet. They consist of a ferromagnetic mild steel cup containing a magnet (usually a disc magnet) with a ferromagnetic mild steel stud / boss / bush mounting at the back of the pot magnet into which a threaded hole has been made.
These Neodymium pot magnets are known as female threaded stud pot magnets because the internal threaded hole could take pot magnets with threaded bar at the back (external threaded stud pot magnets /male threaded stud pot magnets) as well as bolts.
Because the mild steel is stud / boss is threaded there is decent thread length allowing reasonably high torque to be applied to securely hold each pot magnet in place. These pot magnets have a screw socket, into which you can screw hooks, eyelets, etc.
Steel rings and hooks can be screwed into the threaded hole.
To meet the needs of different holding force, we provide a wide size range, the diameter of the internal pot magnets is from 12mm to 75mm, the thickness is from 5mm to 18mm.The size of threaded hole is from M3 to M10.
It is important to wear gloves while magnet fishing. Not only do cut resistant gloves will improve your gripping power, but they also protect against rope burn and rusted or sharp metal edges.
When you discover that your magnet has attached to heavy object. Pull slowly and carefully. Patience is key. By taking it slow, you are less likely to lose that big find.
After much use, magnet casings can become scratched and susceptible to rust in, but this is no way reduces the performance of the magnet. To reduce this issue, magnets should be rined and dried before storing.

Remark: the strength is the vertical magnetic pull-force which make the magnet pull away from the 1.18'' thickness steel plate of a tester under ideal condition, it does not mean the actual weight which the magnet can lift the actual pull force will vary mainly depending on the following variables:
A: Steel thickness (the thicker the steel is, the stronger the pull force)
B: Attracting position (the farther beyond the center of gravity of the attracted object, the lower the pull force)
C: Pulling direction ( the smaller the angle taking 90°as a standard, the stronger the pull force), the pull force in horizontal direction is only about one third of that in vertical direction)
