This permanent magnet pot assembly is made by sticking a permanent magnet (using new materials and standard grade) into a steel cup that with the external thread or male thread. Steel nut and screw cap can be fixed on the external thread. We usually glue neodymium disc magnets into the steel cups. The steel cups can not only protect the disc NdFeB magnet but also ensure the NdFeB disc magnets strongest magnetic force and holding ability. The steel cup of the pot magnets with eyelet can be made by lathing or punching. We have both two kinds of pot magnets with closed hook for sale.
It is a double-sided Neodymium magnet, consisting of 2 magnets on either side effectively giving you a combined strength of 1600kg's, which gives you the benefit of twice the surface area to snatch objects, effectively doubling your chances to attract something great.
It comes supplied with a M12 Eye Bolt made of 304 grade Stainless Steel which can be mounted on either the top or side of the fishing magnet where there are pre-existing thread receivers. We recommend mounting it on the side of the fishing magnet as these doubles the magnets surface area, effectively doubling your odds of catching something.
Our fishing magnets are coated in a thin NiCuNi protective layer preventing damage to the internal magnets and making them suitable for magnet fishing in the sea, rivers, and dams.
It is important to wear gloves while magnet fishing. Not only do cut resistant gloves will improve your gripping power, but they also protect against rope burn and rusted or sharp metal edges.
When you discover that your magnet has attached to heavy object. Pull slowly and carefully. Patience is key. By taking it slow, you are less likely to lose that big find.
After much use, magnet casings can become scratched and susceptible to rust in, but this is no way reduces the performance of the magnet. To reduce this issue, magnets should be rined and dried before storing.

Remark: the strength is the vertical magnetic pull-force which make the magnet pull away from the 1.18'' thickness steel plate of a tester under ideal condition, it does not mean the actual weight which the magnet can lift the actual pull force will vary mainly depending on the following variables:
A: Steel thickness (the thicker the steel is, the stronger the pull force)
B: Attracting position (the farther beyond the center of gravity of the attracted object, the lower the pull force)
C: Pulling direction ( the smaller the angle taking 90°as a standard, the stronger the pull force), the pull force in horizontal direction is only about one third of that in vertical direction)
